We just Feng Shui’ed the IBM Building on North First Street in San Jose. I think it’s safe to say this is the largest building we’ve Feng Shui’ed to date: 188,332 SF on 22 acres! As luck would have it, this building has excellent Feng Shui overall – ridiculously good, in fact. There are simply too many things located in the right place to be a coincidence.
- the Data Center is located in the Knowledge area (Northeast)
- employee cubicles are located in the Creativity area (West) and Relationships (Southwest)
- the rear entrance is the Career area (North), with a black floor that stimulates the Water element of Career
- the (old) lobby has wood-finished walls and plants, and Wood is the element of this sector, Family & Health.
The owner is currently looking for a new long-term tenant, and since we have such a huge Asian demographic in Silicon Valley, it’s always prudent to cover all your bases! He was thrilled with my executive summary report, and now he’s ready to rent! This building is unusual, in that it is what we call a “reversed” building — not to be confused with a “Reversed Mountain Reversed Water” building.
A reversed building simply means that the side you expect to be the “facing side” (front) is actually the “sitting side” (back). Since the sitting side determines the sign of the building, and this building is sitting to the Southeast, it is a “Wealth House” ☴巽 Xùn/Sun (風(风) Fēng). I probably don’t have to tell you that is incredibly fortuitous to have your business sitting in a Wealth House. We also offered the owner a write-up of ways we could improve the Feng Shui even further. We’re hoping the new tenants reach out to us, because we have a “wealth” of information (pardon the pun) about this building!
